A Guide on How to Cancel Your Very Order in 2019

Did you make a mistake and order something from Very that you didn’t mean to buy? Or did you change your mind quickly after the order went through? Then read this guide to learn how to cancel a Very order.

Cancel by Telephone

1. To cancel your Very order over the phone, call Very customer services on 0843 208 7674. Before you can speak to a person you need to explain why you are calling. When the answering service prompts you to do so, say “order status.” It may also ask you to state your account number. You can find this number in the top right corner of your Very statements, or at the top of your account section when you log into the site.

2. When you do get through to an adviser at Very, provide the order number for the order that you want to cancel. They can tell you if it possible to cancel it or if it is too late to do anything. If the order is processing or already despatched then, unfortunately, there will be nothing they can do. However, if they are able to cancel the order for you, then you will receive a confirmation of cancellation and a refund within 3 days.

3. When the order is already despatched, you have to wait for delivery. You can either refuse delivery at the door or accept the parcel and return it yourself. You have 14 days from receiving the goods to notify Very that you want to cancel this order and return it to them for a refund. There are several ways to return items to Very, including Click & Collect and Post Office for smaller products, or home collections for larger ones.

Cancel Online

To cancel your Very order online, go to very.co.uk and click to sign in to your account. You may already be signed in if you placed the order online. If you register for a new account, it won’t show your older orders.

Access your online account by entering your e-mail address or account number and then your password and delivery address postcode. If you have forgotten your password, click the link to reset it and sign in.

Now you are logged in, the website will say “My Account” where it previously said, “Sign In.” Click here to go to your account summary. Then click the “Recent Orders” tab to view all of your orders from the last 3 months. Your recent order should be shown here. You can then click “Cancel Item” on the order you want to cancel. A message will confirm if cancellation is possible. If it is not, you will need to wait for it to arrive.

Once you receive the order you want to cancel, go back to your account. Click on the “Returns” tab and find the order. Select the items you want to return and it will provide the return instructions. Select the returns method you will be using and then return your securely packaged parcel this way. You can track the status of your return. Or check the transaction history tab to check on your refund. It usually takes three working days from Very processing your return for the credit to appear in your account or the money in your bank.

If you have any problems during these processes or wish to make a complaint, you can also do this in your account. Click on the “My Details” tab and then on “Account Queries” in the list on the left. This is another way to contact Very if the live chat is not available. If there are advisers ready to chat, you can click to open a web chat and get help with cancelling an order at any point. The query form is for specific types of query.

You can also e-mail help@very.co.uk, but it might take a while for somebody to respond to your e-mail. By this time, it could be too late to cancel the order, so it is better to do it in the above ways. Cancel by Post

When ordering online, you need to be fast to cancel an order before it’s too late. Post is too slow for this, but if Very has despatched the order already, you can notify them of your intention to cancel the order by post. Include your order details and explain that you are cancelling it and will return the goods as soon as you have them. Send the letter to the Very customer services address below.
