Elephant Insurance is a car insurance company in the UK. If you’re not happy with your Elephant Insurance policy you can follow the instructions below to find out how to cancel your policy.
Cancel by phone call within 14 days
If it has only been within 14 days from when you took out your policy you can call 0333 220 2006 to cancel your policy. You will need to pay different cancellation charges depending on your policy. If you have a normal vehicle policy you can cancel the policy for £25, if you have the vehicle policy with the LittleBox/Safe Driver (if the unit has been installed) you will need to pay £125 to cancel your policy, If your policy was a vehicle with Plug & Drive you will need to pay £75 to cancel your policy but you will receive a £50 refund if you return your unit within 30 days of your cancellation and if you have a home policy you will need to pay £25 for your cancellation. You just need to call the number and provide the team member with some of your policy and personal details and they will organise your cancellation for you.
Cancel by phone call after 14 days
You can cancel your normal vehicle policy for £49.50, If you have a vehicle policy with a LittleBox/Safe Driver (if the unit has been installed) you will need to pay £149.50, If your policy is the vehicle policy with Plug & Drive you will need to pay £99.50 but you will be able to receive a £50 refund if your unit is returned within 30 days of cancellation and if you have a home policy you will need to pay £39.50 to cancel your policy. Once on the phone to the member of the Elephant Insurance team you just need to inform them that you would like to cancel your policy and then you will need to provide some of your personal and policy information.
Cancel via post
If you would prefer to cancel your policy via post you can do so by writing a letter including some of your personal and policy information. You then need to write that you would like to cancel your policy. Look at the information above regarding the cancellation charges for different policies and make sure you’re okay with this. Make sure you date the letter before you send it as they will be able to calculate how much of your final payment you will need to pay as well as the cancellation charges.
